I am surprised how many people still really don't like the woman. WHen I found this movie I was surprised at all the hateful comments. Why such strong feelings after all this time? And if you hate so much Princesse Lilian, why are you looking up and watching movies of her? As long as the King loved her and she loved him, that is all that matters to me. If she was a comfort to him I am content with that.
I think it's envy and jealousy, in some cases, mixed with the effects of the endless, often politically-motivated bad press she has received over the decades, at the hands of the detractors of her husband, King Leopold III. She was also a very forceful personality, and sometimes people mistake that for arrogance and pushiness, I think.
