La Fondation Cardiologique Princesse Lilian

La Fondation Cardiologique Princesse Lilian a été constituée le 10 décembre 1958 par la deuxième épouse du roi Léopold III. L'année auparavant, son fils le prince Alexandre avait dû subir une intervention chirurgicale à Boston. La princesse souhaitait offrir aux enfants atteints de malformations cardio-vasculaires, inopérables à l'époque en Belgique, la possibilité de bénéficier d'interventions d'avant-garde aux Etats-Unis. Parallèlement, la Fondation suscite le développement en Belgique d'une chirurgie cardio-vasculaire de pointe. Dès 1966, un conseil scientifique international est créé pour orienter ses activités.   2. She was a magnificent lady. I wish she could have been queen, too bad some think the adoration is finite and to give some to Lilian means detracting some from Queen Astrid. We can adore an infinite amount either or both!

    It makes me sick, the way all sorts of nonsense is said about Lilian, like "she was wicked to the core," "she hated Queen Astrid," "she was a scheming gold-digger,"and such rubbish. Discussions of Lilian online usually amount to hate threads.
