ReplyDeleteBelgium has been fortunate I think (though not everyone appreciates this) to have had good marriages and good relationships with the royal family. Leopold I, Albert I, Leopold III, Baudouin all had happy marriages. Albert II has not been free of trouble but he also has made his marriage work and it is something people should appreciate that, unlike other monarchies, strong lasting marriages are the rule and not the exception.
